Seasonality is a interesting one, you can remove seaonality with a bit of math. However its easier to use y/y comparisons which works for me. Nice post btw

Great tips! You make some really good points about choosing the right fairs that cater to your target market! I've done several fairs, some good and some bad, and I've learned to be more selective as well. Thanks for the advice!

125 is not the gauge it is a stamp meaning sterling silver. Some jewelers put it on others don't. Measuring gauge can be a bit hard without a gauge measuring. The best way to get it appraised is to ask a jeweler.

I own a modern necklace on which is inscribed "Sterling 125".

I assume "125" is a gauge...
I need to know exactly what it means, especially in respect to the necklace value, as I want to sell it .

Thank you for any help you send my way !

It's an excellent idea - I hope Etsy Admins see this post. I am always looking for good images to use in my articles and on my blogs. I would love to give credit to the person and link to them, and knowing that I have their permission to do that would be great. I know some Etsy sellers use their kids as models and many are concerned about someone else using the photos.

Looks like Etsy is doing exactly what you suggested. Etsy Search ads is a new feature Etsy is offering to sellers. Just signed up for the Etsy Search ads - wonder how it's going to compare to simply renewing items.

Eddie, I completely agree there is no right way to do something. I know in some parts of Asia they put the saw blade into the saw frame opposite then what I was taught. I also do the move the piece depends on the angle. I am working on a 2 inch by 6 inch cut with over 60 cut outs and that required so many re-positioning of the saw in order to reach angles that i feel i used every trick in the book.

Thanks for your comment on drilling deep holes posted on the Rio Grande Blog. I was interested to see your videos; nicely done. It is funny how there are several right ways to do something. When I learned to use a jewelers saw I was taught to hold the saw always moving away from my body in my right hand (I'm right handed) while turning the work with my left hand. The theory of sawing this way is that the transition from one direction to another (right or left curve to straight or straight to curve, etc.) can be smoother and thus require less cleanup. It looks like you do a great job turning the saw and holding the work stationary. We both would most likely have trouble if we tried to change. Keep up the good work and keep sharing.
