This post is very informative. It’s easy to loose the perspective when your Etsy shop had few sales and you keep questioning yourself why and what I can do? I learned to constantly retake the photos until they meet a certain standard. At the moment I create more edgy jewelry with mostly just metal and it definitely clashes with my older designs full of colorful stones. I’m thinking to split them under different categories/lines within the same shop. Thank you for this post!

Thanks for including the picture of my piece. I agree, space is a concern with pottery – but I have been fortunate to have a large enough turnover so far that I seldom remove items from my store. I have let a couple items expire – things that I just wasn’t really sure I actually liked. And it seems like just when I decide something has been there too long and is never going to sell, it does. I agree with you that for every item there is a buyer – it’s just that it sometimes takes a long time to hook the two up!
